16mm Film Transfer To UHD Digital
The Eastman Kodak Company developed 16mm film in North America first and released it for public use in 1923, with the first sound projector coming out in 1932. For several decades, this format was primarily used for low-budget movies and home movies. As production moved away from standard film, so did the need for 16mm film. There are still limited production capacities for 16mm film, despite its rarity.
Keeping film reels in boxes or storing them in storage puts them at risk of decay. Precision Transfers understands the value of preserving your precious 16mm memories. Our staff at Precision Transfers will handle your 16mm film and transfer the reels to digital.
At Precision Transfers, we use professional transfer technology and utilize a telecine transfer and capture in UHD format.
We are the industry leader in professional and consumer video conversion and transfer because of our expertise in video imaging and our use of the latest broadcast transfer technology.
Please contact us today to learn more about our video-to-digital services.
Over time, VHS, DV, VHD, Hi-8, and DVD tapes will degrade when stored. Don't let your home movies go to waste.
By converting your old legacy videotapes to digital format, you can enjoy them for generations to come.

How it Works
The process is easy, simply create your order, send in your media and we'll digitize your memories.

Place an Online Order
Place your order after selecting the media type and quantity, adding it to cart, and then creating an account.

Send in Your Media
The cost of shipping to Precision Transfers is not included in the rate and is handled by Canada Post or your local courier. The return shipment fee is available when placing your order if you wish to return tapes or films. Free return shipping is also available for orders over $150. The customer may choose to recycle the originals rather than return it upon completion.

View & Save Your Media
The transferred files are sent via a Google Drive link where you can download them. You can then save the file to your local drive or your USB drive. Due to the fact that this format is no longer supported by the industry, we do not support transfers to DVD. High-quality MP4 files are the standard transfer format, and we also store a backup locally for six months. Please let us know if you have a specific format request.
