Photo Scanning Service – Preserve Your Printed Photos Digitally
The Photo Scanning service from Precision Transfers converts physical photographs into high-quality JPEG digital images for long-term preservation, convenient viewing and easy sharing. Using professional high-speed, dual-sided scanning technology, we capture both the front and back of each photograph at 300 DPI. This preserves the original image along with handwritten dates, names, notes or other important information found on the reverse side.
Our Photo Scanning service is ideal for family collections, historical photographs, school pictures, travel memories, scrapbooks, memorabilia and collectible items such as baseball cards. Digitizing your collection protects important memories from fading, physical wear, moisture and accidental loss while making the images easier to organize and share.
Photo Materials We Scan
The service is designed for physical photographic prints and similar flat printed items, including:
-
Traditional photographic paper prints
-
Glossy, matte and textured photo finishes
-

-
Flat paper memorabilia and photo cards
-
Collectible cards, including baseball cards
Photographs should be reasonably flat and free from frames, albums, adhesives, staples, paper clips and other attachments before submission. Contact Precision Transfers before ordering if your photos are unusually fragile, curled, mounted or damaged.

Place every photograph in the same orientation, with the top of each image facing the same direction. If arranging photographs chronologically, place the oldest photographs at the bottom of each stack.

How it Works
The process is easy, simply create your order, send in your media and we'll digitize your memories.

Place an Online Order
Place your order after selecting the media type and quantity, adding it to cart, and then creating an account.

Send in Your Media
The cost of shipping to Precision Transfers is not included in the rate and is handled by Canada Post or your local courier. The return shipment fee is available when placing your order if you wish to return tapes or films. Free return shipping is also available for orders over $150. The customer may choose to recycle the originals rather than return it upon completion.

View & Save Your Media
The transferred files are sent via a Google Drive link where you can download them. You can then save the file to your local drive or your USB drive. Due to the fact that this format is no longer supported by the industry, we do not support transfers to DVD. High-quality MP4 files are the standard transfer format, and we also store a backup locally for six months. Please let us know if you have a specific format request.
