Super 8mm Film Transfer To UHD Digital
For the first time in North America, Kodak introduced the Super 8 format in 1965. Compared to 16mm film, these formats were more cost-effective. In the late 1980s, due to the increased popularity of VHS tapes, this format was discontinued due to the growth of the VHS market.
When film reels are stored in boxes or in storage, they are at risk of decaying. Your 8mm film contains irreplaceable memories. Our team will carefully convert the reels to a digital format.
At Precision Transfers, we use professional transfer technology and utilize a telecine transfer and capture in UHD format.
We have been converting and transferring videos for professionals and consumers for over 30 years, and we are Canada's leader in broadcast transfer technology.
Get in touch with us today to learn more about our video-to-digital services.
We can also transfer all of your old VHS and VHS-C videotapes to digital formats so they can be enjoyed by you and future generations.
The tape format itself will degrade over time if you store old VHS or VHS-C tapes. It is critical to act before it’s too late to save your home movies.

It's easy as 1, 2, 3.
How it Works
The process is easy, simply create your order, send in your media and we'll digitize your memories.

Place an Online Order
Place your order after selecting the media type and quantity, adding it to cart, and then creating an account.

Send in Your Media
The cost of shipping to Precision Transfers is not included in the rate and is handled by Canada Post or your local courier. The return shipment fee is available when placing your order if you wish to return tapes or films. Free return shipping is also available for orders over $150. The customer may choose to recycle the originals rather than return it upon completion.

View & Save Your Media
The transferred files are sent via a Google Drive link where you can download them. You can then save the file to your local drive or your USB drive. Due to the fact that this format is no longer supported by the industry, we do not support transfers to DVD. High-quality MP4 files are the standard transfer format, and we also store a backup locally for six months. Please let us know if you have a specific format request.
